The Susan B. Anthony greenback, a United States coin, was minted for a comparatively brief interval throughout two distinct collection. The preliminary manufacturing run occurred from 1979 to 1981. After a hiatus, mintage briefly resumed in 1999.
The choice to introduce this greenback coin was pushed by a necessity for a smaller, lighter different to the cumbersome Eisenhower greenback. Whereas supposed to be a handy denomination for transactions, the coin confronted public resistance on account of its similarity in dimension and coloration to the quarter, resulting in confusion and restricted circulation.
